Formation of the Total Person
The social and physical development of each student is enhanced by an expansive offering of extra-curricular activities and athletics. Students are encouraged to accept responsibility, respect their teammates, and to promote the school’s Catholic values and moral attitudes through behavior.
St. Pius X is well known in the area for its strong athletic program. The school’s volleyball and basketball programs include all parishioners of St. Pius X and have many participants. Soccer and baseball are also offered, with participation offered to players outside of the school.
In addition to athletics, a wide range of after school activities is offered to meet the individual interests of each student. Governor’s Cup, Art Club, Chorus, Lego League, Robotics, Chess Club, Rosary Club, and Girls on the Run are just a few of the many that encourage students to pursue their talents and develop leadership abilities with their peers.
In addition to being the primary educators of their children, the parents of St. Pius play a vital role within the school. The school’s invitation for parents to utilize their talents both in and out of the classroom has been met with a large and supportive volunteer base that has contributed to the school’s success.
