Dalton Sunday, a 7th grader at St. Pius, competed at the Kentucky Science and Engineering Fair held at Eastern Kentucky University. Dalton was among 300 participants competing in the Naval Science division. Awards were given by the Marines and Navy and Dalton was only one of three that received the Naval Award! How incredible! Congratulations Dalton!!!

Congratulations to 8th Grader, Annabelle Sunday, for being awarded the Silver Key for her critical essay at the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. This competition was for students in grades 7-12 from this region. The awards ceremony was held on Saturday, April 1 at Notre Dame Academy. Great job Annabelle!

Congratulations to Tyler Turnpaugh who competed in the Regional Spelling Bee! He finished in the top 5 this year and did an excellent job of representing St. Pius.

Congratulations to Regan Rolfson from homeroom 502! She entered the school-wide t-shirt design contest with more than 30 other students. Her design was voted on by the student body and received the most votes. Look for her design during the next spiritwear sale.

The following students competed in the Diocesan Academic Showcase on Monday, March 13 at Bishop Brossart High School and placed in their division. Congratulations to all those who represent St. Pius!

On Saturday, February 18, our MathCounts club participated in the regional competition at NKU. Our team won third place! Congratulations to Ross Lux, Jacob Robke, Drew Kent, Jason Reid, and to all our participants! Way to represent SPX! We are so proud of you!

Congratulations to Trey Gronotte for being a finalist in the Diocesan Pro-Life Essay Contest. Trey and his parents will be honored at Bishop Howard Memorial Auditorium on March 14. We are very proud of Trey and his willingness to use his writing talents as an ambassador for life!

Congratulations to eighth grade student, Annabelle Sunday, for receiving recognition in the 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, presented by Northern Kentucky Affiliate. She is being honored with a Silver Key Award for her critical essay, Speaking Up for the Disabled in a Dark, Silent World. Annabelle and her parents will be honored at Notre Dame Academy on March 25.
