The 6th grade Panther Pause group collected needed items for local charities. The Parish Kitchen was so grateful for the offer of the bags but felt the greater need would be served by providing the bags to the Cold Shelter. The NKY Shelter was beyond THRILLED to receive the bags. Kim Webb, the director was deeply moved by the generous spirit of the St. Pius X community. What you are seeing is only a portion of the 80 full bags plus one additional shopping bag full of extra hand warmers, cough drops and hand sanitizer. Thanks for supporting the 6th grade Panther Pause efforts
The St. Pius X Student Council planned an Advent Prayer Service for the whole school. Students came together to create a human advent wreath using glow sticks to "light" each candle.
The students of 403 enjoyed a sushi making class from Mr. Park, father of classmate Sung Park. Mr. Park owns and operates Sake Bomb Sushi. We made our own sushi rolls and the learned about the importance the food holds in the Korean culture. It was delicious!
